I was able to get the New Sheer Lippie Stix by Colourpop a little bit early and I decided to swatch them for you! As we all know Colourpop is a very affordable brand with highly pigmented products.
These lippie stix although sheer, are still very pigmented and perfect for summer. Aside from the great pigmentation, they are extremely hydrating to the lips. I am one to always carry a lip balm, and thanks to colourpop I will be carrying these lippie stix instead.
Like anything sheer, you will be needing to carry the color of choice in your bag. The main reason for this is because they will fade, but leave a nice tint on the lips.
These new sheer lippies come in EIGHT colors perfect for every skin tone!
I finally got around to swatching the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints! Let me just tell you how excited I was to be trying these for the first time. As you may or may not know, I like matte lipsticks, but I still do like to have glossy items in my vanity and these were no disappointment!
The first thing I need to warm you about is PIGMENTATION!! These are extremely pigmented, which means that you will not be needing to apply as much on your lips to have the color stand out. One thing you do need to be careful with, is not over applying. What I mean by this is, is that these will bleed if you apply TOO much. I suggest applying these with a lip brush and always having it in your purse. Anything glossy you will need re-applying and this is no exception.
Since these do have a very wet look and feel to them make sure you apply only enough and you should be fine. I will be applying something matte underneath or a loose powder to help cling the product to my lips. This way there will be less “bleeding” of the product on my lips.
For the price which ranges from $2-$4 dollars it is an amazing product and highly pigmented!
I was so excited when I received these liquid lipsticks in the mail! One of the reasons was because I love matte liquid lipsticks and another reason is because I had been waiting for The Balm to come out with some of these.
I filmed a Lip and Arm Swatch Video so you can see how the product applies, how the pigmentation is, and whether you think some of these would look good on your complexion!
These liquid Lipsticks have great longevity, around 5hrs of wear (without touch ups) this is of course without eating any oily foods. One thing I really liked about them is that they did not get crusty. Many Matte liquid lipsticks tend to crust up after re-applying or because of how dry they get, BUT these were amazing.
The pigmentation was another thing I really liked. With one coat you are set! I am the type of person to apply around 3 coats, do not ask me why. I am very weird. One more thing I loved about them was the smell. If you are not into MINT or Mint Smell then these are not for you! They feel tingly on your lips and smell like vanilla mint. After they dry on your lips, you forget you are even wearing anything!
After wearing the New Too faced Born This Way Foundation for about 2 weeks now, I am finally comfortable doing a Review and Full Demo for you all!
Price: $39 Claims:
medium – Full coverage
Natural, Radiant finish
Infused with coconut water (to hydrate), alpine rose (to brighten), and hyaluronic acid (to smooth)
Only 12 shades
As you may or may not know my skin is Normal/ Combination. I was surprised to find that although the foundation was not Matte, it lasted me a good 5 hours. This was with a primer, and no setting powder. I loved the easy blend-ability and the fact that is was not to watery. Applying it with a Beauty Blender or Brush gave me the same result.
After the Five hours though, I did begin to get shiny on my normal areas, such as the T -Zone and Forehead area. I noticed that the foundation did not really oxidize throughout the day, which I really appreciated. This is definitely a natural almost skin finish foundation, when it sets.
One thing you should take into consideration is that there are only 12 shades, which I hope expands to cover a lot more complexions. This foundation is more of an everyday wear than an “event or party” foundation, it might even become your go-to foundation.
Overall, I love the finish, the application and the longevity of the foundation. However, I do suggest going to your local too faced Counter to get properly matched.
Im very excited to show you how to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit and to speak about how the product works!
I Filmed a demo to show you some of the tricks I use to Cream Contour, while simultaneously using this need product!
Pigmentation & Application
This Product is very creamy, which allows the artist to blend the makeup properly and at the pace they are comfortable doing so. To help the product blend quicker and easier, you can use MAC COSMETIC FIX PlUS. You do not need any fancy brushes to do this, just some thin, dense, and sparse brushes. One product I highly suggest is a beauty blender, that will help with meshing everything together in the end.
When highlighting underneath any under eye area, be aware that there will be fine lines that will cause creasing. To prevent this, I used Mac Prolong Concealer before applying to the highlight underneath the eyes.
Start from blending the light then the dark to help with any errors! The cool thing about blending creams is how easy it is to fix any problems!
This product, if applied correctly can last all day! Set it with a all nighter setting sprat such as Urban Decays “All Nighter Setting Spray.”
Is it worth the Hype?
If you are a makeup artist, this is a total “go out and buy it!” If you are not, maybe think twice about whether you will be using much or if you feel more comfortable with powders.
